Having secure bike parking near my home would enable me to not need to lug my bicycle up and down the stairs to use my bike, which would be a great benefit to me and would enable more bike trips.
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

I would love to be able to securely store my bike on my street. As it currently stands there is a ton of on-street parking, but commuters who use bikes are forced to bring their bikes up into their apartment building and take up space in their already small units. This would be lifechanging!
Near train station.
This location slots neatly near bike-friendly Smith and Court street commuter corridors, with a lot of bikers in walk-up buildings that lack safe bike storage options.
the buildings on this street are railroad apartments. Narrow and long. It’s very hard to find an indoor space for a bike. But I do have one and ride it 3 or more times a week. Additionally, I love on the 2nd floor and carrying my bike up and down the stairs is quite challenging
Lots of bikers, near Trader Joe’s, construction area going away so there’ll be lots of sidewalk space
