Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location

This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

Bikes are often parked on the street here

East 16 St - Avenue Z - Sheepshead Bay Rd

This is a good bike parking space because it is a big destination for people going to and coming from work to take the B/Q trains. There are tons of business around that would benefit from bikers who want to shop. I think it's a great spot.

Long-term bike storage would be useful - I do not have adequate bike storage in my apartment at the moment, would help for my bike commute.

Bike parking would be huge on our block! Lots of multifamily.

Would be great to see bike parking that could be used near Columbia and Riverside park, Riverside park really has no bike parking options rn

Minimal on-street bike locking options exist here, additional bike locking options would be welcome

Gravesend Neck Rd - East 15 St - East 16 St

I see bikers locking up their bikes here on poles and what not to transfer to the train during morning rush hours. It would make sense to have some bike parking in this area to securely leave the bike for hours at a time. I myself would do this but without bike parking it's too risky.
