West 17 St - 5 Ave - Avenue Of The Americas

Would be great to have bike / cargo bike / e-bike storage near this school (PS 340 Sixth Avenue Elementary) and all schools! This way parents can drop off kids at school and then continue their commute via subway for longer distances or to Midtown. Then the bike will be available to that parent or another parent/guardian at pick-up time.

I am disabled and work using my bike. I am physically unable to lift my bike up stairs or else my heart would explode. I have had to park my bike outside and have had it stolen numerous times over the years and I am working class, unable to afford insurance or other means to recover from that kind of damage. If I lose my bike I can't survive and it is my mobility aide as much as it is my way of earning income.

Lots of families in the area; lots of buildings that prohibit e-bikes in their bike storage rooms.

Sackett St - 4 Ave - Berkeley Pl

This area needs bike parking, both for use around the R Union stop and for residents in older buildings that lack any bike storage. These neighborhoods are surprisingly accessible by bike, but not if you have to carry the bike up or down three flights of stairs in narrow hallways. Even the option to do that means you have more space than most in your unit.

Selfishly this is where I live now and where I lived 10 years ago. Both buildings lack bike rooms and this area would greatly benefit from secure bike storage. Since its very far from any subway lines many locals would like to bike.
