Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. We love bike parking around here. All the buildings have stoop walk-ups. Which makes it very difficult to carry bikes out. I would get an e-bike if there was parking here. I currently ride a bike daily.
This street serves a co-op building with 145 units that are in need of bicycle storage. Bike commuting, storage, and safety practices would be quite supported by adding a bike hub here.

This is right near the playground plenty of space
There are no other secure bike parking programs in all of 81st St except one ALL the way at the very north. Given how popular Roosevelt Ave and 37th Ave are, there should be a place for bike parking here.
The area where Rogers, Bedford, and Bergen intersect has a lot of room for a secured bike parking area (there is already a large CitiBike station there, and a cute little park with wide sidewalks). So many bike commuters in this area—and especially if you put a secure bike lane here (the Bergen-Dean bike lane), this is a perfect spot. And, no parking will be sacrificed!
