Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

I ride my bike to work everyday. I would love a safe place to store my bike

Only place I have to park my cargo bike is on the street. I use my cargo bike to get my two daughters to school everyday and I commute to penn station for work. It would be a big boost to my mental health to know my bike was safe and secure
223 W 136th St needs secure overnight bike parking. The long-term “No Parking/No Standing” curb space in front of the church should be converted into secure overnight residential bike parking for residents of this block. The church is almost entirely inactive within the community, and the space is rarely used outside of limited Sunday morning activity, typically by only a single vehicle. On a brownstone residential block with limited indoor and sidewalk storage space, with many buildings converted into smaller apartments, this curb area would serve the community far better as secure bicycle and e-bike parking for residents.
The 59th street station is a major subway transfer point for bay ridge residents who must transfer to the N express train from the R (the neighborhood’s only line and with stations quite a distance away for some). Many of us would gladly ride our bikes straight to 59 Street and park them there if only we could be confident they would still be in the spot where we locked them up when we return from work in the evening. Secure bicycle parking units at this location would be a game changer.

This will be a new library location that can benefit from secure bike parking - also close to the subway station.
