Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. Promote cycling and improve bike infrastructure in the area by providing a non-automotive modality option.!
There are at least 4 bikes in my building at S 3rd St and Bedford that were stored in the hallway before a fire department crackdown that forced us to store them inside. It has been suboptimal, to say the least. We'd really appreciate secure, city-provided, long-term bike storage that lets us maintain easy access to our bikes while storing them somewhere safe and protected from the elements.
The project definitely needs one, so many people here have bikes, e-bikes, EBikes, and e-scooters in their apartments, taking up space. With secured bike parking, they can free up space in their apartment and put their vehicle outside. It's needed in this neighborhood. Many older people have a bike that they ride, and they mention the headache of bringing and wrestling it into their home. Multiple are needed in the projects.
i have two acoustic bikes - one i would need long term storage for and one overnights/weekends. would love to see air pumps at the locker
