Please fill out these as PBLs- they would provide a safe route between schools and prospect park+ other train lines, increasing safety and accessibility, especially when it's dark outside or drivers speed- as they do.
NYC DOT is looking to improve safety for students who walk, bike, and ride in the neighborhood. To learn more about the project visit the Project Overview page or review the Community Board Presentation.
Please use this map to share any existing safety or transportation concerns in the project area, as well as your ideas for how DOT can improve safety on Brooklyn Ave and Kingston Ave. Your feedback will help inform the project design and improve safety for students!

great proposal along brooklyn and kingston aves! but make these lanes along rutland and fenimore protected bike lanes as well, instead of conventional ones. you know the safety benefits brought by PBLs, so just install them here too. zero reason to introduce additional risk to people when you're already doing the right thing on different roads *in the same project* thanks!
Put in missing crosswalk
Put in missing crosswalk
Add bike lanes to Lefferts
Upgrade Empire Blvd to protected bike lanes. Painted median is waste of space and just promotes speeding.
Bike lane should continue entire length of Winthrop St
Add pedestrian crossing at Brooklyn and Hawthorne to improve access to park
Add pedestrian crossing at Brooklyn and Fenimoire to improve access to park
The block of Fenimore between Brooklyn and NY Ave is wider than the rest of the corridor (34' vs 30') and could accommodate a protected bike lane in front of PS 397.
