East Village/Lower East Side Waterfront Access Study

Exploring potential improvements in the vicinity of the FDR Drive from Montgomery Street to 14th Street, considering mobility, circulation, safety, accessibility, open space, environment, resilience, and stormwater management.

At the third community workshop for this study, the project team shared recommendations for waterfront connection improvements and street enhancements at Montgomery Street, Jackson Street, Delancey Street, Houston Street, and 6^th Street along the FDR Drive corridor. The workshop was held in person at the Lower Eastside Girls Club. Following an overview presentation, participants joined breakout discussions to share what they liked and disliked about the recommended improvement concepts. Feedback from the workshop will be integrated into the study’s final report.
