Ralph Ave - Dean St - Bergen St

Bike Lanes on Pacific, Bergen, and St Marks should link together on Ralph Ave, where the Bergan lane is interrupted and has to begin again. There is currently no safe route from Pacific to Bergan without using the sidewalk and Ralph Ave is a busy street with cars always illegally parked and parked on sidewalks. A dedicated and hardened bike lane through through this block would increase safety dramatically and the usage of the lane on Bergan while also mitigating illegal parking, increasing safety for pedestrians as well.

Moving the bike lane route and directing it through the Kingsborough Houses Campus would take bikes completely off the road for several blocks along Dean. The Kingsborough campus roadways are enormous and could easily accommodate. The campus is also beautiful and lush and is a great community green space.

The sidewalks, roads, and the central through way around St. John Park are enormous. Can the bike boulevard incorporate this amazing community asset and go through or around the park? A bike lane through the park and other already pedestrianized areas like the NYCHA houses next to the park and the block of st marks between Kingston and Albany, which cars cannot drive through, could take bikers almost completely out of contact with cars for several blocks along this route.

The entire bike corridor turns on Rochester while moving from Bergen to St Marks. Consider hardening Rochester, as it is busier than either east/west road or moving the Bergen Lane over to Saint Mark's entirely.
