Dean St - Boerum Pl - Brooklyn

My chief concern with this plan is pedestrian safety The bikers who cruise down Dean Street speed right through the traffic lights. I’ve almost been hit, my dog has almost been hit, my father-in-law was almost hit. If you’re going to make this a bike Boulevard, you have to figure out a way to enforce traffic laws for all vehicles, and that includes bicycles. The bike lanes recently created on Court Street don’t seem to give pedestrians high regard. They create more blind spots for pedestrians and ample opportunity for bikes – especially the motorized bikes – to smack into us any which way. I mention all this as a biker, who used to commute to work every day by bike. My second worry is for the remaining vehicular traffic. Trucks often go down Dean Street, and in making the turn off of Boerum, they have plowed into our trees, our garbage cans, and on one memorable occasion, our building. I do genuinely worry about a bike lane narrowing the thoroughfare.

Albee Square - Gold St - Fulton St

This space would be much better served as a public plaza / extension of an Albee Sq to provide pedestrian space connecting Fulton St with Albee Sq Park and City Point shopping area (beyond the existing narrow sidewalk)

Every Flatbush intersection appears to be plagued with red light runners, no matter the time of the day. More aggressive traffic rule enforcement will increase the security for both pedestrians and cyclists.

Extending (preferably protected) bike lane all the way north beyond Atlantic would provide good alernative for Park Slope - Downtown connection beyond 4th Ave and Bond St.

Bike Lane Protection

Rockwell Pl - Fulton St - Lafayette Ave

This is a high-car traffic intersection where running red lights appears to be an ongoing problem - a protected bike line would improve safety for cyclists.
