Permitted parking would help the situation for bikes. Our block gets clogged with people parking and leaving there cars for days/weeks and daily work traffic, which leads to double parking. It would also help if more package delivery went the way of Amazon with the e-bike delivery or were required to park their trucks on surrounding blocks without bike lanes. I am concerned that removing parking altogether on one side of the street would create more chaos.

For the entire western section of Dean street (west of flatbush) riding eastbound, right now the cars go by at 15-20 mph faster than bikes due to the uphill, and they pass incredibly close. It feels very unsafe and I am scared to bike there right now. It would be much safer if this was a protected bike lane rather than just paint, or ideally had no cars. In addition, the lights are poorly timed for bikes, so the constant start stop means that cars are flying by way faster. Aligned timing would be great!

The merge of Bedford and Rogers is heading north is very dangerous for bikes right now! Bedford is the critical northbound bike route, and the lack of protected bike lane in many sections means cars are consistently double parked in the bike lane or turn left aggressively into active cycling traffic. This is particularly true farther north near the BQE.

Bergen St - Flatbush Ave - 6 Ave

this section is often stressful - car turn lanes aren't clear, drivers sometimes speed trying to catch the light on flatbush, and cops often double park their own cars & crashed cars in this area making visibility worse & the streets narrower. the small protected bike lane between 6th and flatbush is vital but the approach to it could be improved

always lots of double parking in the bike lane here for the UPS store

this intersection is confusing for cyclists coming from all directions - hopefully a dean redesign can help finish the transition to the protected bedford lane. Coming from dean, it's hard to tell where to wait at a red light without blocking the bedford bike lane; heading north up bedford cyclists have to merge with fast traffic and shift all the way to the left; heading north on rogers (where there's no bike lane) cyclists have to cross 2+ lanes of traffic to merge into the bike lane. the new lane markers are helpful but can go further - this intersection would really benefit from something like grade-protected bike lanes

Connecting Brower to bergen dean and the childrens museum protected would make a lot of sense!
