Unsafe crossing due to the speeding traffic in Atlantic Avenue
Car repair shops and trucks occupy the pedestrian areas and bike lane
Protected Bike Lane on Bedford Avenue: Implement a parkingprotected bike lane on all of Bedford Avenue in the manner proposed for Bedford Avenue in Community District 3, and adjust its design to prevent bicycles from having to cross vehicular travel lanes. See AAMUP Community Vision and Priorities Report from 2023.
Remove the vehicular parking lane from the west side of the triangle at Bedford Avenue between Dean and Bergen streets (Grant Gore) to expand and improve the open space. Expanded space could be used for seating and for public art created by local artists who are members of a marginalized community. See AAMUP Community Vision and Priorities Report from 2023.
Please extend the protected bike lane beyond Dean St along all of Bedford Avenue. It's very unsafe now!
Bedford needs a protected bike lane up to Eastern Parkway!
The lack of protected bike lane in Bedford Avenue beyond Dean St makes this area very dangerous. Cars are usually speeding down Bedford Avenue
Crossing Atlantic Avenue is so dangerous that I get off my bike in this stretch. Please fix this calming down traffic, improving visibility, including curbs and making this less inhospitable
I have no way of safely taking my family from Dean or Bergen St to Prospect Park through a protected bike lane because Bedford Avenue hasn't been protected up to Eastern Parkway. It's great to create E/W boulevards, but we also need to finish the N/S connections to ensure there's a real network of protected lanes
Make the full bike lane stretch between Dean St and Eastern Parkway protected to avoid cars from parking over the lane and ensuring a much safer N/S connection in the area, especially for families going to Prospect Park
