Unsafe Crossing

Bergen St - Bedford Ave - Rogers Ave

Bedford and Rogers are major, multi-lane, high-speed arterial roads. Crossing them is highly stressful for children and families (such as the Bergen Bike Bus participants) due to speeding and drivers failing to yield. Focus should be on installing hard infrastructure, curb extensions, and clear signage indicating school children and cyclists are crossing and slowing down traffic in both Bedford and Rogers

Need a protected bike lane in the intersection of the Bergen St bike lane with Bedford Av. The Bedford north / south connection is pretty dangerous due to the lack of protected bike lane when going up to Prospect Park.

Cars regularly drive over the bike lane in Bedford due to the lack of protection (this area is only painted). This is very dangerous for cyclists but also pedestrians

Bedford Ave - Bergen St - St Marks Ave - Brooklyn

Please include a protected bike lane in the Bedford Avenue stretch between Dean St and Eastern Parkway. That area is incredibly dangerous both for pedestrians and cyclists due to the speeding car traffic and trucks. A protected bike lane would help connect the network better and help make the Dean / Bergen St project something helpful for those that also want to move North / South as well.

Bedford Ave - Prospect Pl - Park Pl

Many trucks speed through Bedford Avenue despite this being close to many schools. I've witnessed several instances of children almost being run over by speeding trucks heading to Atlantic Avenue. Protected pedestrian crossings and bike lanes would help A LOT here!!
