This is the main loading dock for Barclays. It's also one of the main entrances for Barclays and there are 2 valet parking garages for events on this block. Someone from DOT really needs to observe the volume of truck traffic during load in for a show and the volume of vehicle traffic before/after a show at this entrance. Not to mention to coach buses that regularly park on this block for shows and games. The bike lane currently passes on the side of the load in dock. It needs to be on the other side of the street (where all the police park their personal cars illegally) to avoid getting blocked.
Bikers run this red light every time and have no regard for pedestrians crossing.
This is a turning lane. It is almost never available because the NYPD park squad cars here. The ambulance company that Barclays contracts with also parks here. This causes more traffic to backup on Dean.
This is a No Standing area. Police with fake placards and expired tags regularly park their personal vehicles here on both sides of the street. This encourages Barclays employees and other cars to park here When they are reported via 311, they close the complaints without investigating or taking action. Police placards do not permit parking in No Standing areas. This block needs sections for loading and unloading of pedestrians for Barclays events and true enforcement of parking restrictions by someone other than the NYPD since they refuse to ticket or tow themselves.
