Vehicles Driving in Bike Lane

Clinton St - Atlantic Ave - State St - Brooklyn

There are often delivery vehicles and ubers/taxis parked in the bike lane on Clinton St running from Atlantic Ave north to Cadman Plaza. Additionally, people double-park and so cars veer into the bike lane, often without looking for cyclists. Any design to Dean and Bergen should disincentivise this type of behaviour.

Dean St - Underhill Ave - Washington Ave

I support changing Dean and Bergen into low speed, low traffic micromobility hub. It would be a great step to protect the bike lanes to avoid intermixing with vehicles and pedestrians, encourage less fossil fuel use and exercise, reduce public transit congestion and make it more efficient, and make travel on foot safer too. It would be great for the borough to make it safer as it's an important crosstown travel route.

Bergen St - Nevins St - Brooklyn

Boerum Hill needs more parking, not less, with the hundreds of new units soon to be on Bergen between 3rd and Nevins. The only responsible thing to do here would be to reroute trucks and buses off of Bergen but leave the current street parking and keep Bergen and Dean open to local traffic. Removing large trucks would accomplish the goals of actually making the streets safer for pedestrians and bikers while improving traffic flow.

Pacific St - Underhill Ave - Washington Ave

The Dean Bergan Bike Boulevard is an excellent proposal. Please include in this modifications to the intersection of Washington Ave and Atlantic and Underhill This intersection will be an important entry and exit point from Dean and Bergen both to head south to access Prospect Park and North along Washington Ave.

Dean St - Flatbush Ave - 6 Ave

Parked cars block visibility down Dean at this crosswalk, and many cyclists and especially people on electric bikes/scooters run the red light at high speeds so pedestrians and vehicles don't see each other until it's too late. This is especially a problem during evening rush hour when there is a lot of traffic and it gets darker out. Daylighting would give pedestrians better visibility and make the crossing safer.

Dean St - Flatbush Ave - 6 Ave

Cyclists often run the red light crossing Flatbush and I've seen many near-misses at this crosswalk, especially because pedestrians are watching for traffic turning off of the northbound side of Flatbush and not expecting traffic coming from the north corner. Improving the light timing should give cyclists more time to safely cross Flatbush and make it safer for pedestrians to cross Dean without dodging bike lane traffic.

Yes to the bike boulevards, they will improve cyclist and pedestrian safety. It can't happen fast enough for my family and neighbors.

Dean St - Bond St - Nevins St - Brooklyn

PLEASE. LEAVE. THINGS. AS. IS! Traffic will be a nightmare. Presumably you'll take parking away in an already hard-to-park area. Some of us need our cars. Biking is for the privileged few. Don't overkill a good idea, meaning bike lanes themselves.

Illegal Parking

Bergen St - Smith St - Brooklyn

Bergen Street between Smith and Hoyt never gets street cleaned because cars do not move. Traffic is bumper to bumper frequently. with cars honking. Cars and trucks double park and the bus, trucks or fire department can't get around. Parking spots are always full. Please don't make the traffic back up further. The honking is currently intolerable. F/G trains at the corner. A lot of pedestrian side walk traffic. Garbage blowing down the street and garbage dumped by cars.
