Dean St - 4 Ave - 5 Ave - Brooklyn

As a longtime resident of the block, I fully support the bike lane. Traffic is horrendous with Barclays Center activity and the B65 is commonly stuck in the traffic. A reroute might not be the worst thing. A reassessment of street parking is badly needed too, given that all the commercial buildings on the block have been demolished and converted to residential units.

I live on this block, i bike, walk, frive, and take tye bus. On barclays evebt days, things are hard, loud, polluting. I support the bike boulevard.

Bergen St - Grand Ave - Classon Ave

The bus on Dean and Bergen is needed for elderly, and disabled. There are a lot more people on the bus than riding their bike. I work on this corner and use the bus to commute from here to park slope. I am disabled. There is no other convenient way to get to this area. The subway takes over an hour with a transfer and is only 10 minutes on the bus.

This is a huge disruption of transportation for disabled riders and will also cause a huge build up of traffic on the residential streets nearby. The bike lane is already sufficient.

I am very concerned that this project will mean relocating the B65 bus. I am disabled and take this bus regularly. This is the only east-west bus in Crown Heights near where I live. I am on crutches and am not able to ride a bike so I will not be able to take advantage of this proposed project. Although I am in support of bike paths in general, removing the bus line from Bergen and Dean streets will make it difficult for disabled people to get around, especially since almost none of the nearby train stations are accessible.

Bergen and Dean are both already safe and already both have bike lanes! To make them into bike boulevards the bus will have to be moved. 68,000 senior and disabled rides were swiped on that line last year. CB8 voted NOT to move this bus line. But who cares right? What are those people going to do? They can't take the train, no elevators on the Atlantic stops and they can't ride a Citibike, can't afford Lyft and Uber, the corporations lobbying our electeds to do this. Guess they'll just have to move right? Shame on you all for ignoring the generational community who built this neighborhood to satisfy your lobbyists and gentrifiers.

I’m excited about any protected bike lanes and hope we copy Amsterdam in terms of elevated bike lane design. Thank you for protecting cyclists and pedestrians from awful drivers.
