Roadways are for transportation. Curbsides are for transportation related activity: parking, picking up and dropping off people, loading and unloading, etc. Curbsides are NOT for restaurants, garbage bins and other non-transportation related uses. The latter should be confined to sidewalks.
The traffic pattern here changes from the rest of the surrounding blocks, which has been difficult for pedestrians for decades. Now, there are more tourists and Uber/etc drivers who don't follow the traffic rules. A dining shed blocks all visibility of oncoming traffic, which now makes the crosswalk even more dangerous.
this is one of the very few charging stations on uws and constantly blocked by ICE vehicles that are obviously not charging but seem to never get tickets so always do so. if the city is to encourage EV usage way more charging stations are needed and the few we currently have need to be accessible for EVs that need thdm
The outdoor shed at Tessa is filthy, rats, flooding, dirty water, and trash collect there year-round. Their other outdoor seating leave no room for walking. Tourists have inundated the area and Tess has provided no space to get around them. It can take kids and older people a long time to get past them without getting knocked into.
People on electric bikes speed, obey no traffic rules, there is no enforcement. It's scary for me, my young child, and my elderly parents.
Bike riders do not obey the traffic lights and flow of traffic. It is very dangerous for pedestrians. As careful as I am, I still have almost been hit numerous times.
