Bus lanes please
M86 really needs bus lanes
WE NEED BUS LANES
Would be nice to have green space where we could sit here.
Gets insanely crowded every Sunday, very hard to walk
Need more loading zones and sidewalk space.
Provide floating parking lane adjacent to northbound protected bike lane. Since congestion pricing will reduce traffic from below 60th street, a travel lane can be removed to accommodate this. This will protect bikers and also provide much-needed parking, bus and FHV pickup/drop-off, and loading/unloading which frequently takes place in the bike lane and buffer zone.
Implement a resident parking permit program for parking on residential streets. Once congestion pricing is in effect, this will be the last exit before the CBD toll on the HHP which will lead to more commuters using this neighborhood as a "park-and-ride" and will cause more traffic in the neighborhood.
Provide floating parking/loading lane on CPW northbound PBL. This will protect cyclists from traffic while also restoring parking/loading (buses, ice cream trucks park in the PBL), and will also eliminate conflicts between bike lane and bus stop pick up/drop off zones.
Provide a two-way parking-protected bike lane on W 72nd St. This street is ideal for a crosstown PBL as it has a direct connection between the Hudson River Greenway and Central Park. A floating parking lane will protect cyclists and preserve much-needed parking/loading on this street. Remove travel lane(s) to accommodate since W 72nd St does not have much vehicle traffic.
