This stretch of road is a vital artery for commercial traffic heading to and from Long island city to Brooklyn. Brooklyn Queen Expressway to head towards Queens RFK Bridge or towards Varrazanos narrows bridge. Reducing the amount of traffic will directly have an impact on the traffic flow and cause commercial traffic to wonder elsewhere trying to avoid lengthy delays. This in turn will invite local law enforcement to write summonses for off truck route trucks trying to get safely to there destination. Please help drivers maintain and follow the laws as well as continue to produce for local businesses. Thank you for the attention to this matter.
They need to put a no right turn on to Driggs Avenue And u turns need to be stopped. Maybe they should also put a turning light for mcguinness boulevard forturning on to Driggs ave coming from meeker ave
If they took away a lane of traffic in each direction, cars and trucks would use other streets that run parallel. I wonder how residents of those streets would feel.
Making McGuiness Blvd one lane would be the biggest mistake since making the BQE through Camden a two lane. The amount of traffic on the street already slows things down. Narrowing it to one lane per direction would just cause more delays and car traffic to start using side streets to cut through
McGuiness Blvd is a vital truck route for deliveries to service the Greenpoint and Long Island City communities. I would suggest lowering speed limits and adding time to pedestrian crossing lights to start. If they want to add a bike lane, they should replace the parking lane, not the travel land.
Two-way bike lane. Protected in such a way that cars cannot park in it. Take away travel lanes, the street is so unpleasant and polluted and unsafe, we need fewer cars. The oceans are boiling.
Horrific Street Noise and Building Shaking from Truckers Speeding Constantly. Uneven Roads add to it.
So many lanes of traffic... why?! Less is more DOT!
A mucha gente le gustaria ver un ciclovia aqui
We need a road diet. Enough said.
