Meserole Ave - Mcguinness Boulevard - Eckford St - Brooklyn

Cars speed up Meserole Avenue from McGuinness Blvd all the way to The stop sign on Leonard making it hazardous for children and other pedestrians trying to cross the street in Eckford Street.

Mcguinness Boulevard - Nassau Ave - Norman Ave

We all know we've been taking our life in our hands crossing this crazy boulevard for as long as any of us can remember. You can just feel it the minute you step off the sidewalk and it's ALWAYS been that way. So I hope no one really works to save a bunch of car lanes just to avoid having a "fashionable" bike lane or whatever else you think they're bringing. We finally have a chance to make a change and I for one hope we do!!

Russell St - Driggs Ave - Nassau Ave

There should be a painted crosswalk to signal the entrance to the park here. The new speed bumps on Russell are a definite improvement and a painted crosswalk would make it plain to drivers why they are being asked to slow down.

Monitor St - Driggs Ave - Brooklyn

Trucks blatantly ignore the No Trucks signs and use Monitor Street to cut through the neighborhood. Why are these the only street signs that seem to be so freely ignored?

Dangerous Left Turn
Dangerous Left Turn
Mcguinness Boulevard - Nassau Ave - Norman Ave

Left turn signal is very inconsistent. There are days where it never appears at all. It’s confusing drivers and pedestrians and someone is going to get hurt.

Please don't take a lane from McGuinness for a bike lane. The traffic is too much for only one lane. If you really need a bike lane on McGuinness, you can use the SIDE WALK for BIKE LANE. McGuinness has never had much pedestrian on the side walk from BQE until Pulaski at any time of the day.

McGuinness already has a lot of traffic and noise compared to adjacent streets. While I like the idea of protected bike lanes, it seems like that would only make traffic congestion, loud vehicles, idling, etc. even worse. Unless there is a way of diverting traffic, I think those changes would make the experience of living on this street much more unpleasant.

Mcguinness Boulevard - Kent St - Java St

DO NOT change this street - it is a vital connector from northern Brooklyn to Long Island City and beyond. This is absurd, there are plenty of bike lanes on side streets. This street needs to remain for use as intended, as a thoroughfare connected to a vital bridge and highway. Bikes are not a all-weather, all-season, all-ages, all-sorts of cargo form of transportation. This will be detrimental to all the surrounding residents for the sake of a hipster agenda.

Getting rid of two lanes of traffic will do nothing but cause excess amounts of traffic buildup on McGuinness. Resides that have lived on McGuinness have never complained about the dangers of the blvd for decades and expanding sidewalks is just a waste of money. Why can't cyclists bike on the sidewalk so they can be out of the way. You aren't allowed to speak during the workshops because the organizers censor opposing comments and berate opposing views on social media but claim the whole neighborhood agrees with them. Cyclists weave in and out of traffic, never signal when turning, do not follow traffic rules, or stop for lights themselves. Cyclists should be forced to register their bikes as vehicles so that they can be ticketed just like drivers.
