Truck Double Parked
Truck Double Parked
Mcguinness Boulevard - Calyer St - Greenpoint Ave

There are delivery trucks, taxis/Ubers, and other vehicles double parked throughout the day. MnGuinness southbound essentially becomes a one-lane street as everyone has to crossover into the left lane, causing dangerous and aggressive driving. As the entrances to most of these residential buildings are on McGuinness, there should be spaces blocked off for trucks/taxis so that they do not back-up traffic. This seems like common sense and the city should not allow construction of these buildings without blocking off a few street parking spaces so trucks/taxis can safely go about their business and not block traffic.

Dangerous Left Turn
Dangerous Left Turn
Mcguiness Boulevard - Driggs Ave - Brooklyn

The left turn onto driggs from McGuinnes is very dangerous due to large plants in the median. The plants make it almost impossible to see the oncoming traffic down mcguinnes. I have an suv and it’s hard to see in that, much less in a smaller car. It also forces drivers to make quick decisions which could then harm a biker or pedestrian. This seems like such an easy fix to me!! Just remove a few of the plants!

Engert Ave - Humboldt St - Russell St

Vehicles often speed out of the intersection with Humboldt St, as they don't have another stop sign for multiple blocks. This makes it dangerous for those crossing at Russell St

Bike Lane Requested
Bike Lane Requested
Engert Ave - Mcguinness Blvd South - Newton St

Engert Ave has a large citibike station, but not safe way for those taking or returning the bikes to use. Either the exit straight onto McGuinness, or Engert, neither have a bike lane or shared bike route

No Crosswalk
No Crosswalk
Russell St - Engert Ave - Driggs Ave

Lots of people cross Engert Ave at this point, even though there is no crosswalk. Cars speed out of the Humboldt St intersection and often turn into Russell st without looking for people on the crosswalk

Double Parking

Engert Ave - Humboldt St - Russell St

Double parked cars and delivery trucks idle here for long periods of time. Cars often speed out of the intersection with Humboldt St as they don't have another stop sign until North Henry so this becomes really dangerous

Driggs Ave - Diamond St - Newel St

Parked cars blocked visibility for this crosswalk across Driggs

Newton St - Manhattan Ave - Graham Ave

Very poor visibility to stop signs for vehicles traveling in either direction. Vehicles often run stop signs at the all way stop

Newton St - Mcguinness Blvd South - Engert Ave

This is an overly tight 90 degree right turn, with the view often blocked by parked cars. Trucks and cars cut the corner of the sidewalk here (as you'll see that the sidewalk has crumbled and been damaged). Pedestrians often have to stand 2 or 3 meters back from the crosswalk to ensure safety when waiting for the light

Mcguinness Blvd South - Newton St - Bayard St

Cars and trucks are always speeding out of and into the intersection with Meeker, racing red lights, rushing to overtake each other and accelerate onto the on ramp to the BQE
