Russell St - Engert Ave - Driggs Ave

Lots of people cross Engert Ave at this point, even though there is no crosswalk. Cars speed out of the Humboldt St intersection and often turn into Russell st without looking for people on the crosswalk

Double Parking
Double Parking
Engert Ave - Humboldt St - Russell St

Double parked cars and delivery trucks idle here for long periods of time. Cars often speed out of the intersection with Humboldt St as they don't have another stop sign until North Henry so this becomes really dangerous

Driggs Ave - Diamond St - Newel St

Parked cars blocked visibility for this crosswalk across Driggs

Newton St - Manhattan Ave - Graham Ave

Very poor visibility to stop signs for vehicles traveling in either direction. Vehicles often run stop signs at the all way stop

Newton St - Mcguinness Blvd South - Engert Ave

This is an overly tight 90 degree right turn, with the view often blocked by parked cars. Trucks and cars cut the corner of the sidewalk here (as you'll see that the sidewalk has crumbled and been damaged). Pedestrians often have to stand 2 or 3 meters back from the crosswalk to ensure safety when waiting for the light

Mcguinness Blvd South - Newton St - Bayard St

Cars and trucks are always speeding out of and into the intersection with Meeker, racing red lights, rushing to overtake each other and accelerate onto the on ramp to the BQE

Aggressive Drivers

Humboldt St - Bqe Wb En Mc Guinness Blvd S - Meeker Ave

Dangerous and aggressive drivers often speed onto the on ramp here through red lights

Mcguinness Boulevard - India St - Huron St

The car wash at David’s Auto consistently has multiple vehicles stopped on the sidewalk for final buffing, which blocks the entire sidewalk from pedestrian use. Pedestrians are forced to navigate between vehicles, enter the car wash area, or choose to walk into McGuinness Blvd in order to continue down the sidewalk. This is a daily issue and one that is extremely dangerous for pedestrians - especially parents with children, dog-walkers, and the pregnant & elderly. The business is extremely unwilling to cooperate with neighbors’ consistent requests to keep cars behind the sidewalk line until they are done being cleaned.

Mcguinness Boulevard - Huron St - Green St - Brooklyn

Yellow cabs from neighboring TLC lot taking up majority of available Boulevard parking. They have a large parking lot, ideally the street parking should be left available for residents

Need a bike and pedestrian crossing here. Russel st is the only north bound access to the neighborhood between McGuinness and Kingsland which are both unsafe to bike on. (North Henry and monitor are good, calm south bound options) Bikes usually will bike the wrong way on North Henry or on the sidewalk to go north because it is unsafe to reach Russell st by bike from Meeker.
