Dangerous Left Turn
Dangerous Left Turn
Mcguinness Boulevard - Calyer St - Greenpoint Ave

oncoming traffic makes it difficult to turn left here. And it's hard to see people in the crosswalk. Suggest a left turn light.

cars waiting in line at carwash back up in the street for 1-2 blocks. this causes backups of cars and lots of lane changing

I am not for the reduction of McGuinness into two lanes. I believe this project is short sighted. Decreasing lanes on McGuinness will increase traffic in other places. This project was spurred by a traffic death on McGuinness. We see traffic accidents and deaths on other streets in Greenpoint, such as Manhattan and West. Traffic will get worse in residential areas like Montior and Kingsland. If the goal is to reduce traffic flow in the area while still servicing the area's business, I would advocate for a wider view of all of those corridors. My opinion is that Manhattan should become a one way, southbound street from Greenpoint Ave to Driggs to alleviate congestion. You can eliminate one on the west side of McGuiness and have a protected bike lane that connects with the bridge. Maintaining a double lane along McGuiness would help push traffic out of the neighborhood while disincentivizing travel from LIC.

Greenpoint doesn't need anymore bike lanes. Too many idiots on bicycles disregard the bike lanes anyway and ride on the sidewalks. Between the bike delivery morons and dopey hipsters on Citibikes, Greenpoint streets are a mess! This city is a mess!

Kingsland Ave - Norman Ave - Jj Byrne Memorial Bridge

Cars and Trucks speed on this street on their way to Greenpoint Ave. A bike path connecting to the one on the Greenpoint Ave Bridge would be very helpful,
