Driver speeding to turn when pedestrians have the walk sign, he must just assume that I'm able to run to avoid getting hit, very scary
Observed for-hire vehicle knock cyclist at corner of Norman & McGuinness. Cyclist was knocked off bike after being clipped by driver. The driver had been going by the cyclist as he was stopped by the curb. The incident was scary and took place almost right in front of the ghost bike on that corner - this is obviously a problem. We could have had a repeat death over what? Vehicles speeding.
a bike lane along McGuinness will help to slow down traffic. It is also needed to extend the bike lane at the Pulaski Bridge connecting to LIC. There have been multiple accidents involving bikes on Mcguinness. Bicycles currently ride on the already too narrow sidewalk as it is not safe to be in the street.
There is a "No trucks" sign at the entrance to Sutton street, but trucks speed down this street all the time and way past the speed limit. We need speed bumps! Or enforcement.
There is NO stop sign here on Driggs (there is one on Sutton). Families cross the street all the time (there is a school nearby). But the cars driving down Driggs drive VERY fast and visibility is low.
Aggressive driving the entire length of Mcguiness, but I cross at Nassau most often, so see drivers speeding at all hours, accelerating to beat the light, swerving around people making lefts and almost hitting other cars and bikes, etc.
While taking a left turn from McGuinness vegetation in the median is blocking turning drivers view of on coming vehicles.
No matter what you do. If people mentality won’t change it will never be safe. People walk on red signal people drive bicycles on red, what do you expect
speeding
