Cars park very poorly on this block and the bike lane is almost always flooded. All times of year
Vehicle illegal parking in bus lane makes buses block traffic and then bikes also have to go into the street outside of protection
Manhattan Ave is the most direct northbound route to Greenpoint/LIC so large semi trucks use this road. Please note Manhattan Ave is NOT a truck route. I understand local deliveries are allowed but this amount of semi tuck traffic is not all local. There is a school and bike lane here. Semi trucks crowding the bike lane and speeding to make a light in front of a school is UNSAFE and UNACCEPTABLE. Police enforcement is not working. How can DOT implement STREET DESIGN to prevent semi trucks from using Manhattan Ave? Why are block reversals not being implemented here?

the end of the bike path is constantly blocked by trucks/ cars stopping at a local business. Need to redesign this intersection to enable the free flow of traffic.
Like much of the area under study, this is a concentration of businesses that serve mainly pedestrians. This intersection needs to better serve the needs of people other than car and truck drivers.
This is another important northward route for cyclists, runners and pedestrians, and the light timing is clearly set up to favor car traffic on Metropolitan Avenue. There are always pedestrians waiting on this corner (or jaywalking). Signal times should balance the needs of all the street users.

All of Morgan Avenue is a death trap for cyclists. The bike lanes are constantly being blocked by trucks. Perhaps there is a way to have a 2 way protected bike lane running the length of the Morgan, and reserving the opposite side of the street for the businesses to do their loading and unloading.
Bike land is always blocked with trucks - so dangerous to have to bike out into Grand street - suggest concrete barriers here to stop the business misuse of the bike lane
