Wrong-way Cycling

Sidewalks are used as two-way cyclist and e-scooter highway. Especially at night. Had to dodge a e-bike delivery coming from behind me only to nearly get hit by an e-scooter coming at me last night. This is a regular occurrence as cyclists don't feel safe on Metropolitan so they choose to make it unsafe for pedestrians on the sidewalks.

Cyclists (motorized and not) travel in both directions along this narrow sidewalk on Metropolitan between Meeker and N 5th because there's no bike lane and Metropolitan is too dangerous in this section. This puts pedestrians at risk as cyclists don't slow down and pedestrians are an annoying obstacle to them.

The bollards blocking Nth 6 often are taken out by drivers who mistakenly get in this lane and wanted to turn on Metro instead of N 6th. This allows cars/motorcyclists/cyclists going "west" on Metro to turn onto N6th and there have been several close calls with pedestrians crossing in the crosswalk as there is a huge blind spot that obscures the half of the crosswalk nearest the BQE.

Bikes attempting to continue along S 4th St need to exit the roadway and bike on the sidewalk for about 50 feet before they're able to re-join the bikelane. This is terrible design and has led to numerous instances of bikers almost hitting pedestrians on this narrow sidewalk section.

Marcy Ave could use a protected bike lane here to connect Metropolitan and Borinquen Place, both of which have protected bike lanes, and allow for safely entering the South Williamsburg residential streets without needing to navigate traffic that is merging onto the BQE southbound.

This road is technically wide enough for 2 driving lanes and 1 parked lane, but there are absolutely no road markings here to indicate the structure of the road. The width of the street invites speeding and dangerous driving. This road should be reduced to a single driving lane, a single parking lane, and a protected bike lane with clear road markings.

Bike lane is constantly being blocked by parked/delivery vehicles. It's incredibly dangerous for bikers needing to weave in/out of the bike lane into traffic. Not to mention the road quality is incredibly poor, with numerous raised bumps and potholes which makes biking here even more perilous

There is not enough proactive signage earlier in the road to indicate that the far-right lane is strictly for turning onto N 6th leading to traffic as cars attempt to merge left from the furthest right-lane to the two right turn lanes to Metropolitan right before the soft bollards.

Delivery cyclists don't often drive the wrong way here. I've nearly been hit twice this month. Average close calls on nearly being hit is once every 2-3 months. But now they congregate around the church and it's plaza so several turn left onto Havemeyer from Metropolitan making it dangerous for all including themselves.
