Would be great to get a bike route connection between the lanes in PLG to the new protected bike lane on Flatbush (between GAP and Empire). At the moment it's difficult and confusing to navigate the small but very busy stretch around Empire.

The feedback zone borders (black line) extend beyond the project focus area (CB 14 and CB 17) to encourage respondents to suggest routes that connect to adjacent neighborhoods and fill gaps in the area-wide bicycle network.
Additional map layers showing MTA bus and subway stops, and Vision Zero Priority geographies, and Community Board district boundaries can be accessed by clicking the map layer menu icon at the lower left corner of the map window.

An ideal goal would be to figure out how to connect a potential bike lane on Linden Blvd (and the existing ones on Bedford Ave) to the bike lanes accessing the park on Ocean Ave. The section of Caton in between Ocean and Bedford would be the ideal place for it, but the street narrows out significantly between Ocean and Flatbush. Perhaps, for that short segment only, a lane of parking could be eliminated to create a protected bike lane--it would be essential because extremely heavy and dangerous 18-wheeler trucks use this route every day as well.
A bike route along New York avenue would help give alternatives to the residents of CB17, and also connect to existing lanes on Clarendon Rd, Lincoln, and Maple Ave.
Bike lanes on Snyder ave that ultimately connect to the existing network on Bedford ave would also provide essential usefulness of the bike network! East of Brooklyn ave, along the cemetery, a lane of parking could be eliminated to make space for a protected bike lane.
Protected bike lines (both ways) could easily be inserted in between parking lanes and the sidewalk on Linden Blvd. The street is definitely wide enough. This would provide vital easier access to Prospect Park from a large swath of East Flatbush.
A protected bike lane should be made down Linden Blvd towards Flatbush Avenue coming from Utica Avenue. This would improve connectivity of bikeways. Additionally, Linden is currently misusing space since where the bikes ride is the worst maintained part of the streets so neither cars or bikes are using it right now. This is valuable space that could be easily reimagined with the a protected bike lane between the sidewalk and street car parking.
