Franklin -> Empire -> Prospect Park needs less space for cars and more safety for bikes!
This would be a much safer route than the parallel Rockaway Av, but some curbs and gates would need to be removed.
Create southbound route other than the sidewalk!
Install an eastbound (counterflow) lane on E NY Av here (or close this stretch of E NY to vehicular traffic altogether). You don’t have enough lives to ride on Pitkin a single yard longer than is absolutely necessary here.
East/West connections in this area (Ditmas, Ave D, etc.) are all unsafe.
Linden lacks crossings for a northbound route in this area.
Continuing southward from Mother Gaston should be made safer.
Going southwest from Mother Gaston is currently very unsafe.
Build a grade-free bike path in the railroad right-of-way next to the track of the Bay Ridge branch!
