This route would connect already existing bike lanes to form a continuous safe route.

Continuation of the protected bike lane along Flatbush Ave. This route would connect with the existing bike lane on Clarendon Rd and provide bike access to Brooklyn College and the shopping center near it.

Ditmas Ave - Clarendon Rd - Ditmas Ave

Connecting the bike lane on Clarendon Rd. to the bike lane that leads to the Jamaica Bay Greenway. This will provide safe access for cyclists in the neighborhood to the Greenway and provide opportunities for nature exploration, exercise, and recreation.

A protected bike lane along the 2/5, as well as citibike stations located near subway entrances, would be a force multiplier in bike access and safety. That would make for easier access to and from the subway.

A northbound dedicated bike lane on Rogers would make for safer, easier northbound travel that Bedford does not currently provide.

There is no safe way whatsover to get from Bedford, on the South corner of the park, over to the park. The drivers are aggressive, and there is no protected routes to and from. We need protected bike lanes on Clarkson, all the way over to Ocean, and on Parkside, from the park over to Bedford at least. Protected lanes, not shared, not normal lanes. The drivers are VERY fast and endanger the cyclists.

Church Ave - Bedford Ave - Woods Pl

Church ave is a great vibrant street with a lot of shops that I visit, But I don’t usually ride my bike on it, because I’m scared of the cars.

CB17's city grid has some challenging features that interrupt many of its main thoroughfares. Because of this, it seems essential to capitalize on bike lanes oriented north-south wherever possible.
