I'm living in coney island for over 60 yrs. The Traffic is crazy coming from Ocean Parkway, Neptune Ave and Cropsey Ave. When the summer months or the Park opens April thru Oct there are only two lanes INTO CONEY ISLAND when coming from ALL OF THOSE STREETS I'VE NAMED, the traffic is HORRIFIC! Between the tourists, residents, Baseball games, rides, and Buses (especially Shuttle buses when no trains are running) makes traffic a mess. Horns honking people can't walk or cross streets. Let alone if you allow a Casino (a waste with no real dealers) will MAKE IT EVEN WORSE! This is a residential neighborhood and with 5 new buildings just built off Neptune TRAFFIC WILL GET EVEN WORSE. Bad enough they took the lane the FIRE DEPT/POLICE need to get thru the traffic. Some idiot made a left turning lane when it wasn't needed. It was fine for over 60yrs until they changed it WHY DON'T YOU SURVEY THE FIRE DEPT/POLICE STATION ON W. 8TH STREET OR THOSE IN CONEY AND ASK THEM HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT TRAFFIC WHEN GOING TO AN EMERGENCY! NO CASINO, FIX THE STREETS AND BRING BACK THE EMERGENCY LANE ON W 8TH STREET an get rid of the left turning lane. Whomever thought of these new changes probably doesn't live in Brooklyn Coney Island. We've had enough of noise!!! Traffic jams, accidents! Thank you.

Bring express trains. Doing a daily 2hr + trip from Coney Island to Harlem is ridiculous. MTA is charging more and more for service that is worse and worse.

X28 Coney Island bound express bus is a great way to get home from Manhattan. Please improve the quality of the stops and services, especially during rush hours. This is the only stop that services the vicinity of these few blocks, do not remove it! It is convenient and safer than taking the train home.

The bus loop underneath the Coney Island Terminal is in a disgraceful state. Homeless often sleep on the bus stop seats and it smells horrible. The busses themselves are also very dirty and don’t get cleaned. The schedules are often wrong and busses do not depart or arrive on time. The bus stops are all so separate, so unless you know exactly where to go, it is each to get lost.

The street is in a horrible condition all cracked and filled with trash. It stinks and homeless often defecate there. Impossible to cross under the Q/F line on West 12th.

People often speed on this street and do not stop on the red light. It is highly unsafe. People are constantly parking on the crosswalk and families have a hard time crossing from the train station.

Since removing the ticket booth, the Ocean Pkwy station, esp. West entrance, is absolutely disgusting. It is dirty and smells and often has homeless or drunk/drugged people. I’ve not commuted via that station, the closest to my home, for years because of it.

Please bring Citi Bikes here! Southern Brooklynites ALSO DESERVE access to cheap, healthy and enviromentally sustainable form of public transportation!

Brighton Beach Ave - Brighton 1 St - Brighton 1 Rd - Brooklyn

Brighton Beach Avenue sidewalks (from Ocean Parkway to Coney Island Avenue) are dangerously crowded with merchandise, trash, and illegal vendors on the sidewalk outside local stores. Two people cannot pass without coming into contact with these obstructions. Seniors in wheelchairs with health aides or walking with rollators cannot pass, along with local students, visitors and public services. To boot, e-bikes and scooters try to pass, with rats, vermin, and vagrants on the same cramped, dirty sidewalks. Please clear Brighton Beach Avenue sidewalks, hold merchants accountable for their storefronts so we can maintain public health and safety. Further, every cross street on Brighton Beach Avenue (between Ocean Parkway and Coney Island Avenue) is rutted with potholes and paving seams, some in disrepair for decades. These conditions continue to put pedestrians at risk and NYC at risk of liability. Since you’ve asked, we hope someone will listen and finally do something to improve our community’s quality of life. We are certainly taxed enough for these sorely neglected basic needs. Thank you.
