Remove all bike lanes from Neptune Ave. They are rarely utilized , and when they are, all they do is cause traffic jams. This is not a Viking neighborhood.
The street vendors selling flowers here cause a ridiculous amount of traffic, especially during holidays. There are cars double parked for the entire block buying flowers. Please have this business activity ceased. Furthermore they leave a mess after they pack up.
The addition of a traffic light has caused an immense amount of traffic. Vehicles are now back up around the block waiting for the light to change to get on to shore parkway. The traffic light is an extreme nuisance.
There are useless speed bumps here. Furthermore thanks to the open streets program drives who are parked and leaving during the street closure can’t get out. Immediately end this program so drivers aren’t trapped during the hours it’s in effect. Crossing guards block off all exits from this street.
Open the 3rd lane so that cars from the left lane can turn left instead of causing drivers behind them to wait, drivers on the right can turn right and drives in the middle can go forwards. The left lane is striped off for no reason.
Fix this intersection. There is an arrow from the left lane turning left but it’s not a left turn only lane. That means all cars intending to go straight are stuck behind cars turning left because the arrow hasn’t turned green. Left turning cars must wait for an arrow before turning, causing a traffic jam.
The West 8th Street train station is in extremely poor condition. In addition to the large number of birds that make the surface difficult to walk on, MTA personnel clean the station in a way that causes significant rust and dust to fall onto the private cars belonging to residents of the Brightwater Towers Condominiums located directly beneath the station. Furthermore, people often throw heavy objects from the station onto the cars below, causing damage to windows and other parts of the vehicles. Unfortunately, no one is taking responsibility for these damages. e escalator at the West 6th Street entrance is frequently out of service, making it very difficult for passengers to access the Q train platform.
This JHS causes the most traffic, allowing pick up parents to triple park. No regard for the residents here or our children walking home. Causes serve back up with no where to go. S/B in the morning and N/B in the afternoon! It’s a shame how they u-turn, triple park and don’t allow for cars to pass safely!

BAKERY CUSTOMERS CONTINUE TO BLOCK A LANE OF TRAFFIC EVERYDAY AND HOUR OF BUSINESS ONE LANE OF TRAFFIC FLOWS THROUGH AND ITS DANGEROUS.
