NYC DOT Depot Place Project Underway

NYC DOT is currently implementing safety improvements along Depot Place and Exterior Street in the Bronx. The project includes protected and shared bike lanes on Depot Place, as well as shared bike lanes and separated pedestrian space on Exterior Street. This project provides an important link connecting higher-elevation neighborhoods to the waterfront. It is also a critical segment of NYC DOT’s Harlem River Greenway, which will be a 7-mile corridor linking Van Cortlandt Park to Randall’s Island, heeding community members’, NYC Parks, and the Harlem River Working Groups’ longstanding requests for waterfront access and additional green space in the western Bronx. The project also connects to the existing greenway in Bridge Park.
