Drivers have no warning that they need to watch for bikers coming south on Calbrini to go east on 177th. At minimum, much better (meaning any) signage is needed.
This road layout is insane. There is more than enough room for a two-way protected bike lane. There is no purpose for two car lanes here as the only road that feeds into this block (177th St) only has one lane.
Bike lane on St Nicholas just ends at 168th St. It should continue north
Constant double parking in the bike lane.
Big problem here.
Parking in the bike lane happens in nearly all non-protected bike lanes in the neighborhood. Zero enforcement or respect.
Bus arrives late despite this being the beginning of the route. I don't understand why.
This happens on nearly all non-protected bike lanes in the neighborhood, but it is especially prominent here.
There is no crosswalk and a traffic signal is needed. Pedestrians come down the Pinehurst stairs and have no safe way to cross 181st St. With the hill and the double-parking, jaywalking is particularly dangerous here.
Firefighters park their personal vehicles in the protected bike path
