The sidewalk was expanded and there is ample space on the sidewalk in front of the building on 50th Ave between 39th Street and Greenpoint, but not within the roadway. For consideration: The intersection triangle at 39th Street/50th Ave/Greenpoint Ave has a large pigeon flock in the area may yield bikes covered in bird droppings.

This would be an excellent location for a Citibike dock. I'd suggest putting it on the actual street (where there are currently parking metered spots). I realize this would take parking spots but this area is metered for 1 hour parking only anyway. The foot traffic and numbers of ppl using Citibike use would outweigh and outnumber the cars that could utilize the space. This is a nice little park with lots of ppl relaxing and sitting. This little triangle would be an idea area for a Citibike dock. - It is adjacent to several bus stops. - It is a short (2 minute) walk to the 61st Street 7-train station (and thus close enough to be convenient, but far enough to be an obstacle to commuters and traffic) - The space is ample enough to accomodate the dock as well as maintain the sitting areas for people. - This space is also very close to several schools (elementary, and high-schools), but far enough not to add strain to passersby. - Accessible Citibikes in this area would benefit MANY of the small businesses in the area, providing access to Citibike users that would have not otherwise been able to visit and explore this amazing community. - While parking in the area MIGHT be affected, Citibike here would encourage more people to ride a bike vs. drive. - Overall, Citibike in this area in general would add to the quality of life for many residents here.

This stretch of [continuous, uninterrupted] sidewalk between 70th Street and 73rd Street spans over the BQE, and thus has a long span that a perfect place for Citibike. - There is heavy foot-traffic in this area, thanks to 7 train stops on 69t and74th streets (which also happens to be the hub for the E, F, M and R trains), both only half a block away. - Not to mention, 74th street is also a major bus depot. - Furthermore, the span over the BQE is bare of any storefronts, providing ample room for 2 to 3 Citibike docks (maybe even more). - Given the constant and ongoing strain on public transportation in the area, and the high concentration of residents, Citibike in this spot would serve the people of the area VERY well. Thank you for the consideration.

This area is too congested as it is. Trucks unloading for the grocery store, it is a small residential street. Too many pedestrians walking dogs, older people utilizing the benches. Not enough parking for the residents, or the park, many double park now causing congestion on this one lane road.

The park is set to undergo renovations. The park is very small as it is. They do want to lose any areas that set up for basketball courts or playground for the kids. We need and want a dog park and funds have been allocated. The bikes and traffic will cause further traffic. Also, many older people use this park to gather on a daily basis. Taking away their seating would be cruel.

Removing any street parking along this stretch of 39th dr. to 54th st would be a massive loss for the residents of this densely-populated 2 block area with 4 apt towers. Any docks along Windmueller and Doughboy parks need to be located on the sidewalks NOT on the streets. Street park is too precious here and there will be massive public outcry if street parking is removed here. The sidewalks along the park are large enough to accommodate long docks.

Not suitable for Citi Bike Station

This is a terrible location. Too much road and foot traffic, and it is sometimes impossible to cross the street the way everyone runs the red lights (not to mention all the drag racers). This is also a high crime area, as are most parks in the area. I suggest you put the criminals back in jail and keep them off the streets first.

Good Citi Bike Station location
Good Location for a Citi Bike Station

this section of sidewalk right here next to the entrance to Doughboy park would be ideal for docks. Foremost the sidewalk is large enough to accommodate a long dock without having to use any street space — thus not remove street parking which is precious on 39th dr. as it becomes 54th st. at this corner along the park. Any dock location along Doughboy or Windmueller parks must be on the sidewalk, rather than on 39 dr/54 st. There is simply too little street parking in this area for the density (with the 4 apt towers that are on this small 2-block stretch)
