This is an unnecessarily slow rollout to places further south. I hope tax money isn’t paying for this for profit scheme that doesn’t serve the heart of Brooklyn.
This location at 43rd and Clarkson is an underserved stretch in the current maps for stations. There will be one at the western end of the Hospital and one at the Eastern end, because both of these locations are very commercial. What I see is how this stretch has a very real need to bring bikers closer to the residential stretches in this stretch south of the hospital. This area has a large number of homes underserved by easy transportation. In both directions it's a long walk to the very busy commercial stretches to both the west and to the East and there is no through traffic to the North with the Hospital. Considering the recent sad violence East on Clarkson involving a citi-bike rider and a gun, it's very important there's a station allowing those who live in this enclave South of the hospital to have a close and safe station away from the busier commercial stretches. This station will get used and—dare I say it—could save lives. Also, can't wait! Bring on the Citi bikes!
excellent restaurants along coney island that I would like to eat at if I could citibike and park there. please find a convenient spot and implement traffic calming near the bus and Dunya kebab.
Please find a good spot next to the school, farmer's market and library! I can't wait to bike here and spend money and see friends
