Not suitable for Citi Bike Station
Location Not Suitable for Citi Bike Station
Church Ave - East 17 St - East 18 St

Don't put the CitiBike dock on the Church Avenue entrance! There is a bus stop here a lot of people take the bus. Fix the bus stop (put a concrete pad for the bus, bus shelter with seats and leaning posts, etc) and put the CitiBike dock on the Caton Avenue entrance!

Also good access to bus lanes - B35, etc.

Good access to Church Ave. businesses and existing bike lane. Both Argyle and Rugby bike lanes would be more desirable for Citi Bike users and other bike riders if they are upgraded to be parking protected. Currently the bike lanes are often obstructed.

On Caton here at Rugby could provide good redundancy for the existing nearby stations that are usually full. Currently the connection to get from the existing station to the southbound Rugby Rd bike lane is a little treacherous - myself and many other cautious riders (including parents with kids) ride the sidewalk on the south side of Caton eastbound from the light to Rugby Rd, but it's a tight squeeze, especially if there are any pedestrians. Caton needs traffic calming, and the light at Argyle also desperately needs a red light camera. I almost got killed in the crosswalk when the second car back at the red light (behind a truck) just pulled into the oncoming lane and gunned it through the red light with complete disregard to whether anyone was in the crosswalk.

Great connection to Beverly Rd Q station. The parking spot on Beverly closest to the NE corner of Beverly and Marlborough could work well for Citi Bike station. I sincerely hope that this expansion will also include upgrades to the bike infrastructure in this area, including creating parking PROTECTED bike lanes on Beverly Road. I used to ride my bike on Beverly Rd because that's where the sharrows are. But it's really dangerous and now I just ride on the sidewalk instead because I don't want to get hit by a car. Lots of people ride bikes on the sidewalk all over this neighborhood because there are no protected bike lanes. PLEASE HELP.

Cortelyou Rd - Argyle Rd - Rugby Rd

This block is right between the northbound bike lane on Argyle and southbound bike lane on Rugby. North side of the block (sidewalk and curb) gets fully utilized for the weekly farmers' market, but south side could be used. Siting should strategically be located in existing parking spaces to create daylighting of intersections. There have been some nasty crashes and close calls along Cortelyou. Also, a high density of stations is desirable - I am a loyal Citi Bike rider and am already almost never able to find an empty dock at the 3 stations on my route that are south of Parkside Ave.

In the street right of way adjacent to the subway station, south side of Cortelyou might make more sense, as that's the only entry/exit for the station. Sidewalks get very crowded, so Citibike stations should avoid taking sidewalk space near the subway station.

Albany Ave - Lenox Rd - Linden Boulevard

Adding docks along Linden heading east will be good for last mile trips to and from the subway stops on Nostrand Ave, especially for those that live east of the IRT 2/5 in Brooklyn. There is no north/south bus route between New York Ave and Utica Ave so this can give people options to get to and from bus and subways. There is a wide sidewalk space on Linden at the northeast corner of this intersection. Adding a protected bike lane on Linden, a major east/west route would also be great!!

Adding docks along Linden heading east will be good for last mile trips to and from the subway stops on Nostrand Ave, especially for those that live east of the IRT 2/5 in Brooklyn. The sidewalk is wide on the northeast side, or better yet, use one parking space closest to the crosswalk to keep cars from encroaching on the pedestrian space. Adding a protected bike lane on Linden, a major east/west route would also be great!!

This dock would also be along a bus route so people can make the connection to that as well. There is a large open space on the street at the northeast corner which could be used for a dock. Adding a protected bike lane on Linden, a major east/west route would also be great!!
