Church avenue is the perfect place for CitiBike stations — with all the double parking and blocking of the bus lane, cycling is the fastest way to get to local businesses.
The Stop and Shop sees lots of bike traffic, and low vehicle traffic makes it a safe place. Wide sidewalks and space to put a rack. Lots of retail nearby and no parking problems.
Near lots of schools, on a street with a bike lane
Good spot in front of apartment building.
It looks like this sidewalk is already occupied by illegally parked city workers who don't use the parking lot assigned to them. It's a perfectly natural spot for a citibike station, so that the public space can be used by everyone, and the confused city workers can gain clarity on available parking options in our neighborhood.
This is currently a section of metered parking that is often abused by people with fake placards or unlicensed/unregistered vehicles who do not pay the meter. There is already an extended pedestrian waiting zone at the corner, which creates the perfect shelter for a substantial citibike station between the southwest corner of Church Ave and the curb cut for the commercial driveway.
Addition of a citibike station here would require demolition of sidewalk and planter, as the dead-end street is too narrow for emergency vehicles to pass with any portion of the roadbed obstructed
This island is a great place to put a large citibike station!
The corner of Marlborough and Courtelyou is a great place for more bikes. It is heavily trafficked, near a station, and convenient for many people, with wide enough space for bikes.
