Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location

This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

108 St - 67 Ave - 67 Rd

Community hub. Food pantry, senior gym classes, mommy and me classes, swimming pool, gymnasium.... there are so many classes and reasons why people come here. Lots of bikes chained up on random objects like trees and fences. Would love a proper bike rack.

Thompson St - West Houston St - Bleecker St

Next to Citibike station makes sense - many walk-ups and small apartments on this block, would get a lot of use. Quiet street, ⅔ used for free car parking - secure bike parking would be amazing! Thank you for this important program.

This is a good location for bikes next to the bus stop and the city bike rack

Flatbush Ave - Park Pl - Carlton Ave

A transit-hub based secure bike parking here would allow people from park slope (close to the F/G line) and surrounding neighborhoods to access the 7th Ave B/Q stop and the Grand Army Plaza 2/3 stop. This would connect these major train hubs which now are only connected through the B67/69 bus, which runs very slowly along 7th avenue. Currently, the available bike parking isn’t sufficient or plentiful enough, and many don’t feel comfortable parking their bikes by the train station for the whole workday, for example.
