Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. There's lots of walk-ups here which make it difficult to store a bike inside. Also lots of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.
Secure bike parking in this vicinity would benefit both the local residents (myself included) and the students at Paul Robeson High School. Perhaps the structure itself could exist on the extra wide sidewalk on the east side of the school at the north corner-- there was a shipping container-like shed there for a whole year until very recently (you can still see it in google street view as of 5.14.26). This would help alleviate any naysayers' objections due to parking space loss.
With a charging station would be ideal.
Please add a bike storage here - there isn’t any place to leave a bike close by and it’s very easy access to the high line, chelsea market, and a playground!

It would be great to have secure bike parking here along with video security. I take metro north all the time into grand central.
Please add in Chelsea/Meatpacking, there is the Seravalli playground which is heavily underutilized!
