Jackson heights needs cargo bike storage
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.
Jackson heights needs cargo bike storage

empty triangle . useful location
My family rides cargo bikes to transport our children and to do our grocery shopping and errands in the neighborhood. We would really benefit from secure parking in this area as it is not subject to high foot traffic, and these structures would not impede access in any way. We currently are parking our bikes exposed on the street where they sometimes suffer theft and vandalism along with environmental exposure. If the DOT installs this structure in this location, many families like us can benefit, as we are just one of many cyclist families in this area. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
