Many local resident - frequented shops in this area (e.g. Trader Joe's grocery) with a complete lack of bike racks, let alone secure parking! This would be very helpful :)
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

Somewhere by the park would be awesome.
This block has one high school at one end and one children's play space at the other. It's a narrow street, but it's two-ways, and cars speed through it all the time. A cargo bike parking shed here and right across the street would encourage parents who bring their kids to the play space and garden to do so on bikes, and it would also remove some of the chokehold cars have on this block.
living in red hook bikes are critical transportation. we would like the new bike lockers to store our family bike. 🙏
My girlfriend and I always park our bikes outside and rarely are able to find space. It’s great that there are so many bikers on our block, but we need more storage!

Families on Fulton Street need safe bike parking.
Crosstown bike lane on 110th would be better if kids could park their bikes at the school. Removing a few car parking spaces would give a bunch of room for more bike parking.
Some car parking can easily be removed in favor of Type 1 short term bike racks for kids who attend school at PS 72
This area needs bike storage for building tenants with no availability or space inside apartments.
