Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. Many pre-war (walk-up) apartments and NYCHA housing near the southeast corner of Graham Ave and Boerum St. I bike every single day and being able to park my bicycle securely at street level would change my life!
Great location with proximity to apartments, park, school, and ferry.
Convenient for all Williamsburg residence living near L stop. Also on Roebling and 8th it will be far enough from stop to avoid congestion.
I have lived at 217 West 19th Street for 20 years, and expect to live here another 20. I park 3 bikes on the street regularly: a Yuba Sweet Curry extended wheelbase cargo bike, my daily commuting bike, and my child's commuting bike. Thus I am voting 3 times (hope that's OK). We would greatly welcome any sort of secure bike parking in the neighborhood. Thanks for asking.
I have lived at 217 West 19th Street for 20 years, and expect to live here another 20. I park 3 bikes on the street regularly: a Yuba Sweet Curry extended wheelbase cargo bike, my daily commuting bike, and my child's commuting bike. This block is a largely residential block of brownstones. Renting in a brownstone means I don't have dedicated bike storage and I have to carry my bike up and down 3 flights of stairs anytime I want to ride. I used to lock it on the stoop, but one day my tires were stolen. It would be nice to have secure storage that doesn't require carrying my bike up the stairs every day

This T-Intersection (Ocean Ave & Crooke Ave) is a constant danger to pedestrians who are trying to cross. Despite the tremendous number of double-parked cars, there are still many bikers who bike around here. Adding bike storage would tackle a few issues. For one, it would provide some much-needed daylighting for crossing the street (a painted crosswalk would also be a welcome change). Secondly, this would provide proper parking for an area that doesnt really have many public bike racks to begin with. A mixture of the new private bike parking and public racks would be greatly appreciated in this area.
would be great to have bike parking so I didn't have to carry my bike into my apartment every day
