A lot of people bike to work or bike to Gantry Plaza in this area. Secure bike parking here would be very helpful for folks that are either going to work or want to walk around from the playground to the main park.
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

It's a big public plaza next to major bike baths, subway access and ferry access. While I understand this is a very touristy area with insane foot traffic, I do believe this would make a great micromobility hub
There is an existing pedestrian plaza here; great place for a secure bike park storage, Harlem River Pier could work too, next to WSH bike path
Ideal spot for protected bike parking: back-in street parking spots can be removed; next to busy Citi-Bike dock; attached to NYC Housing; many cyclists & deliveristas chain bikes on 112th, 111th, and 110th Streets between 2nd & 3rd; ample protected bike lanes on both 3rd & 1st Avenues.
Current storage location for peddie cabs - formal infrastructure would be wonderful.
Penn Plaza has plenty of space for bike storage facility located on transit hub and middle of dense office buildings.
Currently a bike rack, formal storage with be wonderful.
Lots of electric bike users delivery drivers hang out here.
Popular endpoint for rides, good to have a spot to stop and grab something to eat
I park electric cargo bike on this block, which has a lot of racks, but they aren't secure. I've had my battery ($550) and other items stolen off my bike. This location is full of employment, bike commuters, and is next to the MTA station so providing secure parking for the workday would be highly beneficial and encourage more cycling.
