Would love parking suitable for a cargo bike
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.
Would love parking suitable for a cargo bike
When considering secure bike storage, DOT could prioritize building a good amount near big commuter hubs, to make getting to work by bike easier.
Close to train station and access point for commercial and industrial area
Would like to be able to bike to Steinway M/R station and park bike there while taking subway or bus, especially important when there are disruptions to N/W train service
This building has 145 apartments and a bike room that only holds 20. I run the bike room and the number of requests from new residents coming in to try and get a spot is higher than it has ever been and I must tell them the sad news there are no vacancies and probably will not be. Somewhere on 85th Street on this block would be vital, as would almost anywhere in Jackson Heights with large co-op numbers of apartments.
Ravenswood Houses needs bike storage
Would be good to have bike parking here by the Broadway N/W train station, so people can bike to/from the train and leave their bike there. This is also nearby multiple bike routes and a main commercial corridor. Many multi-family apartment buildings without elevators are around, where bike parking can be limited to on-street or bringing up stairs (like it is for my roommate and myself).
Quiet block without lots of through traffic.
Having bike parking here would help people connect to the M60 and the subway
Grand army plaza subway station
