Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. I live on a very tiny apartment. There is barely room to have my bike. It is also a walk-up building which makes everything more complicated. A lot of buildings around this area have the same issue. So it would be amazing to have a secure parking.
There are a lot of delivery workers who are using the scaffolding currently around Knickerbocker Village to lock their bikes up. Placing a parking pod here (for both e-bikes and traditional bikes) would be great for them and for residents of KV as well.
Would be great to ride my bike to the L/M train at Myrtle Wycoff (I live in a transit desert in deep Ridgewood) and be able to store it duiring the work day. Currently there is no where to park bikes at Myrtle/Wycoff due to bike racks being covered by other's private property.
Bike racks in this area are always full and there are lots of bikes that have parts stolen / are abandoned. Secure parking is needed here
Popular area for bike trips and large concentration of families commuting by bike

Enables multimodal trips/central destination for biking
There should be bike parking, secure or not, at Jamaica station! Would enable so many more mixed mode trips. Right now I end up locking up to the bridge suppors in the road median which is not good.
Adding secure bike parking near movie theaters would change my mode choice to bike, as now I don't trust leaving my bike unattended for hours. Neighboring destinations in the area would also benefit.
Need bike parking here both for adult and kids bikes so I can bike to school with my kids.
