Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

LaGuardia Airport needs efficient solutions for long term bike parking. Travelers and working people at LaGuardia Airport should be able to store their bikes safely.
Safe bike parking near the train stations, along Hillside Avenue will be useful. Sometimes you can find standard racks, but the bikes have been ransacked/vandalized and people do not lock the bikes there.
People who ride to Citibike events should be able to park safely, because a regular rack won't deter thieves of taking the bikes. It is necessary to be able to lock the bikes safely for attending events.
We need safe parking options near the school, and for the bike classes on 34th Avenue. This spot takes priority and its too many people riding bikes in this area.
this spot is along a great bike lane going from prospect park to south brooklyn, the beach, sunset park etc. and lots of people live around here and bring their kids to school, perfect spot for bike storage. can we have storage and charging for electric bikes too?
Kensington has so many families with kids who travel on bike and gig workers who rely on their bikes for work, plus this area is on the mayor's list for more housing development. We would love storage for electric cargo bikes along with safe battery charging and storage.
Bike parking along Barnett Avenue would be ideal.
It is common for UWS residents to commute via bike down the Empire State Trail accessible through Riverside Park. This park entrance would be a great common place to put bike storage so commuters can pick up / drop off their bike on their way in and out of the park.
Need a bike locker here!
There are SEVERAL large buildings on this block including mine that serves 4 different towers. There is ample basement storage but management refuses to let residents use this space for secure bike storage and regularly threatens to (and does!) cut bike locks from the gate/ railings. This is the only space for bikes to be stored. There should be short and long-term storage options with basic maintenance tools available for this area of Brooklyn.
