Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. This would be great for accessibility to the A train coming from the north via the HHP bike lane.
This crossing is very difficult for bikes! It’s doable with a very lightweight road bike but impossible with anything bigger, especially a citibike. I hate to say this, but it makes the Henry Hudson Pkwy bike ramp almost useless because bikes really can’t get past this section. Please make this a more bike friendly crossing with a ramp, or even better, extend the bike lane on HHP so it doesn’t have to veer off and way downhill into Inwood Hill Park. Thank you!!
There's not only a lack of secure parking, there's a lack of ANY bike racks in the surrounding blocks (even though the streets themselves are very bike friendly and a lot of the neighboring residents are avid cyclists). Plenty of space too. Any type of bike parking in the area would be very appreciated!!
There are a lot of cargo bikes used by families in this area that deserve safe and secure parking.
