There cannot be enough of these around midtown for the many aspiring bike commuters who have no bike parking in their offices
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

This street contains a number of large buildings and a number of bike commuters who would benefit from a secure way to store their bicycles. This is location on the block that seems particularly appropriate and spacious
Residential area with no overnight/long term bike storage available currently
Most buildings on Havemeyer are 4+ floor walkups with no elevators. Grand St would be a nice location since the Citibike stalls are already located nearby. Or along South 1 street near the C Town grocery store would be another option. I’d even be okay to see car parking spots utilized for this project.
There are multiple bikes chained up to poles throughout the block, and it would be very useful to have storage especially for E bikes

265 Schermerhorn needs a very secure bike rack. I have witnessed a CPf employee's ebike stollen right off the sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon. When I asked the person if it was his bike he was liberating from the rack with tools he said "it is now"
Cargo parking midblock would be great - this is a major cargo bike thoroughfare both S->N via Bedford and EW along Greene.
