This is a heavily residential area with a high amount of bike theft. Most buildings lack a bike room and are walkups, which makes having a bike hard as there is no current good way to store a bike. Would be beneficial for those commuting.

No buildings in this area have bike storage! This is a relatively dense area, and I think it would encourage residents to bike! Thanks for considering and all your work to make NYC the best biking city in the world! :)

Many of my neighbors work as bike delivery drivers and would be thrilled to have a safe place to store bikes in order to retain access to their means of survival.

Many of the building on the block are historically preserved with narrow stairways that make storing a bike very difficult. Street storage here would convert subway commutes to bike rides at a station (Carroll F/G) that is set to experience a massive usage increase as the Gowanus population explodes.
