Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. Please please add some ebike charging/cargobike storage/really any additional bike storage near the 207th street station! People bike over from the Bronx across the Broadway bridge here to catch the A express train. It would be amazing to have a secure place to charge/leave bikes, including cargo bikes.
It would be fantastic to have ebike parking here, so I could ride my ebike to the metro north station and then let it charge while parked. People park here and then get the train, and then are gone all day, so it would be a perfect place to charge a bike.
This would be a great street for ebike parking. There are lots of restaurants and so deliveristas who use ebikes. The sidewalk is nice and wide. This is a neighborhood hub for restaurants, etc.
Please bring some bike parking- really any kind!- to this busy commercial stretch on Johnson Avenue. This is a neighborhood hub for restaurants, etc. There's no reason this stretch shouldn't be closed to cars entirely. At minimum, it could use lots of bike parking.
This street is now part of the Open Streets for Schools program. It would be fantastic to have some bike parking on this stretch, both for parents dropping their kids off at the elementary school and for older kids who ride bikes to the middle/high school across the street.
There is so much open and unused space around Greenwood Playground that could be used for this bike parking. There is no need to place these on the curb!
There are so many families in this neighborhood that would choose to bike if they had a secure space for a cargo bike (which are too heavy to carry indoors). This location is residential, and adjacent to a school and playground, helping to serve families with kids. In addition, the parking spots on the street are almost always occupied by cars that sit for weeks unused. In many cities around the world, including London's Low Traffic Neighborhoods, secure bike parking makes it possible for people to choose not to drive. There is no reason that parking spots should only be used for cars. Thank you, New York City Department of Transportation for launching this program.
Every subway station should have daily bike parking either in the station or on the street.

In this massive density of buildings and frequent commuting path, there is no good public bike storage. It is so limiting.
