Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. there are no public bike racks and many people live here that bike and commute via bike everyday. we need both ones for regular bikes and e bikes.
Need bike parking here so bikes can be stored outside, buildings don't have good bike room access and needs more space for on street bike parking.
There are a lot of families in these buildings who use bicycles to transport their children but most of the buildings on this block do not have garages or yards for storage. A big new apartment building is going up at the end of the block, so demand for secure bicycle parking will only grow.
We have a lot of buildings without garages and with no room for bicycle storage, and yet we have a lot of families with young kids that would like secure parking for cargo bikes and other kid-carrying bicycles. Please select our block. We're also conveniently located on a major bike route and around the corner from the 4th Ave protected bike lanes, so there are a lot of people who bike who live on this block!
It's my dream to have a cargo bike! But I live in a 4th floor walk up (no elevator). So it will probably never happen - unless we can get secure bike parking here at 8th Avenue and 4th Street in Brooklyn! That would be a game changer for me! I would use the cargo bike to pick up family from the airport, take my elderly dog to the park, and give friends rides all over town. Please help my dream become a reality with secure bike parking for Cargo Bikes!!!
Most of the buildings are small walk ups and challenging for bike storage. There are very few places to lock up a bike in this section of Crown Heights. When trees were planted recently on St. John’s, they removed some of the bike parking instead of relocating it. A locker near transit would make sense for everyone.

Hells Kitchen has lots of bike infrastructure but limited bike storage. Wide sidewalks on 10th are the perfect place for public storage options, especially to help support first and last mile travel to the subway.
There needs to be some sort of large capacity secure bike parking near Penn Station/MSG.
We have many apartments on this block- none with elevators. This would be wonderful for my family and neighbors!
